Naming Ceremonies
A naming ceremony is a great opportunity for parents to celebrate and give thanks for the birth of their child, and also to welcome that child into their family, to their community, and to the world.
It can also be a spiritual bonding for the child to themselves, and an introduction of the child by the name he or she will be known by. This may include God, or Gods and Goddesses and spiritual guides as well as guardians, mentors and friends.
Your naming ceremony can reflect the religious or spiritual values you hold. There are no legal requirements in a naming ceremony, so we can create one that suits your wishes as parents. My role is to support you to create a ceremony that is appropriate and relevant to your values, beliefs and feelings. We can create a simple, intimate ceremony or a fun filled, celebratory ceremony or a deeply spiritual ceremony. Anything is possible.
Birthing Ceremony
This is a ceremony for women in the later stage of their pregnancy. It allows them to be honoured and nourished by friends and family and it also allows them to celebrate the rite of passage into motherhood. It.s much more meaningful and inspiring that a modern day .baby shower..
The pregnant lady will benefit from the combined wisdom and strength of all present and they will feel empowered to undertake the journey ahead with strength and support. Even if it.s a 2nd, 3rd or 4th child, the ceremony still has great value in prepare the woman for the enigmatic power of birth.
Although this ceremony is usually a circle gathering with female friends and family there is no reason why men cannot be involved. Location can be anywhere that feels right, but most commonly it is inside someone.s home, where the pregnant woman will be very comfortable. Eating, drinking and music is a nice way to finish the ceremony.
Home Blessing Ceremony
Everyone dreams of their home to be filled with life and love; to be full of positive energy. Home Blessing Ceremonies are a great way to fill the home with peace and love, opening it up to positive influence and creating or reinforcing a good solid base in life.
You may have been through many challenges and hurdles to achieve your home as it is now, and that is well worth celebrating with a Ceremony. Also family and friends may have invested effort and love in supporting you to create such a wonderful home so it.s a fantastic original way of recognising all who took part and thanking them deeply for their help.
